The recipes on this blog are categorized into one of two kinds:
• Unlimited Foods
These are foods that you can eat as much as you want. They are completely candida safe, unless of course you have an existing allergy to them. These are the best foods to eat while on the candida diet.
• Limited Foods
These are foods that, though ok to eat with candida, should not be eaten regularly and you should take care to see if you react after eating them. You can eat limited foods only once or twice a week.
This is the most delicious coconut oils we have tasted! It is not refined, so it retains that slightly sweet, coconut flavor. You will use this a lot for cooking oil as well as to thicken sauces and desserts.
1. Read your labels! You will be surprised how many packaged foods contain allergens that you wouldn't expect to find. Chicken broth, for example, often contains sugar, yeast, and starch. Another common preservative that is hard to avoid is citric acid. Read the label before you buy something - you just never know if something will be safe or not.
2. Buy organic whenever possible. Obviously, it's not always possible, because of availability or expense, but when you can, organic is the best way to go.

Welcome to Candida Cooking! It's our goal to provide you with delicious, healthy recipes that will help you fight candida. The candida diet is very limited on what can be eaten, and many recipes out there are just plain blah, and rarely have photos, leaving you thinking, "I'm not eating that!" We want to change that for recipes that taste great, despite the limitations. We also post a photo of every recipe! Even if you are not on the candida diet, you will enjoy the healthy alternatives posted on this blog.

In researching candida you will come across a lot of contradictory information. One source will say that a certain ingredient is great for the candida diet, and another source will say you should absolutely never eat it. The recipes on this blog are from what research we have done; we may not always be correct but we try. If you find a recipe that contains an ingredient you know to be harmful to those with candida, please let us know. Thanks!
